(Abasa) 80 : 2
أَنْ جَاءَهُ الْأَعْمَىٰ

When a blind man came to him.

The Messenger was involved in a conversation with a leader of the Meccan pagans. Then a blind man named Abdullah ibn Ummu Makthoom came there and interrupted the conversation. The Messenger then frowned his forehead and turned from him, expressing resentment at his presence there. At that time, verses 1–10 of this Surah were revealed.
